Privacy Policy
SiteGrader is operated by IT Umbrella Group, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a managed IT services provider based in McAllen, Texas. This policy covers the SiteGrader website at sitegrader.app and the SiteGrader Chrome extension.
What the website scanner collects
When you scan a website at sitegrader.app, we collect:
- The URL you submit for scanning
- Your email address (if provided for the full report)
- Your IP address (for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
- The scan results (scores, check findings, and AI-generated analysis)
We use this data to generate your report, deliver it to your email if requested, and improve our scanning engine. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
What the Chrome extension collects
The SiteGrader Chrome extension collects no personal data. It reads the HTML content of the page you are viewing only when you click the extension icon. All analysis happens locally in your browser. No page content, URLs, scores, or any other data is sent to SiteGrader servers or any third party. The extension does not run in the background, does not track your browsing history, and does not store any data between sessions.
Payment processing
Full report purchases are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy and PCI DSS compliance.
Email communications
If you provide your email address for a scan report, we may send you:
- Your scan report and results
- A follow-up email series with recommendations based on your scan findings (up to 4 emails over 2 weeks)
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, we stop all future emails immediately and add your address to our suppression list. You can also email support@sitegrader.app to request removal.
Cookies
The SiteGrader website does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We may use essential cookies for session management if you purchase a report.
Data retention
Scan results are stored indefinitely so you can access your report at any time using your report link. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your scan results, email address, and any associated records within 30 days. Email support@sitegrader.app with your request.
Third-party services
SiteGrader uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Google PageSpeed Insights API — to measure Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse performance scores for scanned sites
- Anthropic API — to generate the AI-written analysis in scan reports
- Stripe — to process payments for full reports
- SMTP2GO — to deliver scan report emails
Each service processes data under their own privacy policies. We send only the minimum data required for each service to function.
Data security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS 1.3 encryption. Our servers are hosted on AWS with standard security controls including firewalls, access logging, and regular updates. Access to user data is limited to authorized personnel only.
Children
SiteGrader is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time

Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of SiteGrader after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
